    Question

ok there is a guy at my work w/ such confidence in his BMW M3.
he gave me props on my integra couple weeks ago THEN SAID do me a favor dont push up on any M3's. I then let the cat out the bag about a turbo on the way. he said it doesnt matter "i've had SC tegs, turbo tegs,it doesnt matter ,dont do it your going to lose. I'll bet my car on it." he needs to lose,i told him i wont put my car on it but 50-100 bucks would be interesting. of course he's down for that ! "talk to ya soon about it"!!!

tell me its an easy kill! unless he's hiding nos!

nice guy but he needs to lose!
    "tuned"(said he's stock)M3--vs--99DRAG3 Turbo gsr

My Friend has a 94 civic hatchback with a Prelude Vtec motor, JG Cam Gears, DC Header, JG Throttle Body, Ultraflo exhaust system, etc. I've seen him beat M3s both at the track and on the freeway. I'm not sure if the M3's were stock or not. If this guy has his car modified it might be another story.

BTW: my friend's car put down about 190whp.

BLWNGSR with his 6 PSI setup beat someone not long ago with a similar bet going. He took him for some major cash. Unless that car has FI or serious engine work, I'm with CROM's assesment. Driver IS important here especially on the street. If you break loose in the begining and he gets a nice jump on you, you might lose.

I have kept up to even supercharged M3 on the highway and in traffic. I was driving with one downtonw a few months ago and we were having fun pulling on each other and more or less turning the city into our own race track. Fast cars, but we are no slouches. Then again that new 320 hp one will be a bit scarier, especially if it gets blown too.

I am taking my bone stock 1997 ///M3 to the track tomorrow.

It's got the luxury package, so it's about 120lbs heavier than the normal ///M3.

I'll post my timeslip no matter how embarassing.

Shoot, unless he has some mods or something, I bet he has a chip and some other things, he should only be able to run AT THE BEST, a 14.2-14.5, I have seen many M3's at the track run high 14's and 15's. He is probably some yuppie that has no idea how to work on a car and thinks that Germany should be head of the world because they make such a great car, which in reality is about as reliable as a Mustang!

I say, get your car tuned well, get some practice on the street, bet him 100 bucks, and hand him his ass on a platter!

You should hand him his ass. I raced an 97-98M3 on santa Monica Blvd in L.A. and beat him by a length and 1/2... the drag teg should be victorious.....

    Angry

I raced a fairly late model M3 and I absolutely destroyed him. Some of the morons that drive those cars think they're in some sort of race car. I wasn't looking for a race but he was trying to beat me at a light when he should of been taking a left turn only. I don't like to race anybody on the street but sometimes my pride and temper get in the way.

hmm M3 against SC integra. is kind of different class. first of all if your racing a stock M3, dont take too much pride in it. second, u have no idea how quick M3 is when modified.
